Glass Container Drop Test During Quality Inspection

This footage shows a glass container drop test performed as part of the quality inspection process, with a finished glass container selected from the production area for impact checking.

During the test, the container is released toward a hard floor surface so its response to sudden impact can be observed. This provides a practical way to identify whether the glass immediately cracks, breaks, or develops visible damage under the specific test conditions.

Unlike visual glass bottle quality inspection, which focuses primarily on appearance and observable defects, a drop test introduces a physical impact to the finished container. It can therefore provide additional information about how a sample behaves when subjected to an accidental fall or similar mechanical shock.

The exact drop height, test procedure, and acceptance criteria are not visible in the footage and can vary according to the product and inspection requirements. As one form of glass container testing, the glass impact resistance test shown here provides a straightforward physical check on selected production samples.
