Gourd Shaped Glass Bottle Mold and Curved Body Formation
This close-up shows a gourd shaped glass bottle as it leaves the forming mold, offering a direct comparison between the finished bottle profile and the internal shape of the mold.
Once the mold opens, its curved cavity closely mirrors the bottle silhouette. Two expanded rounded sections are separated by a narrow central waist, while the upper cavity transitions toward the smaller neck area. This structure gives the curved glass bottle its recognizable double-bulb profile directly during forming.
The newly formed container still retains visible heat, making the transitions between the lower body, waist, upper body, and neck especially easy to observe. Rather than relying on surface decoration, the bottle gains its character primarily from these continuous changes in diameter.
This close-up also demonstrates the relationship between glass bottle mold design and complex container geometry. For a custom shaped glass container, the mold cavity must reproduce not only the overall dimensions but also the curves and transitions that define the intended silhouette.
