Press and Blow Glass Forming with Fire Polishing and Inspection
This footage shows press and blow glass forming followed by fire polishing and inspection, providing a close look at several connected stages of glass container production.
During the forming stage, the glass remains at a high temperature and glows bright orange as the container takes shape inside the production equipment. In the press and blow process, the initial glass form is mechanically established before air pressure helps develop the final container body inside the mold.
After forming, the hot glass container moves to a secondary flame-treatment stage. Intense flames are applied to the glass surface during glass fire polishing. Controlled reheating can help smooth minor surface irregularities and improve the appearance of areas affected during forming or handling, without repeating the complete molding process.
The footage then moves to glass bottle inspection. The formed container is positioned for observation so that its body geometry and overall condition can be checked after the preceding production steps.
Together, the three scenes demonstrate how glass container production extends beyond the initial molding operation. Forming establishes the basic bottle geometry, fire polishing provides additional thermal surface finishing, and inspection helps evaluate the container before it continues to later production stages.
The footage offers a compact view of the transition from high-temperature forming to secondary finishing and quality control within a continuous glass manufacturing workflow.
